Conservatory Roof Systems
As with the frames, we can supply and install any roof system on the market, however we normally use the ‘Ultraframe’ roof system. To define the terminology, a roof system comprises a structural aluminium skeleton covered with uPVC (in a colour to match the frames), which can be fitted with either glass or polycarbonate unit, or a lightweight tiled roof, plastered internally.

24mm Smart ‘Active’ or ‘Blue Active’ Glass Panels
This clear or blue glass combines dual action, self-cleaning products with solar control performance for a cooler internal environment. It is a revolutionary glass perfect for use in conservatories. It uses daylight and rainwater to breakdown and wash away organic dirt from exterior surfaces. The Smart glass panels allow plenty of natural light into the conservatory which has many benefits to our health, keeps internal temperatures cooler and looks great! Conservatory roof manufacturing technology has come a long way in the past 30 years. Advances in glass technology mean that a conservatory is no longer a ‘greenhouse’ attached to your home. The glass is thermally efficient and will reduce sun glare and deflect the heat from the sun in the summer and retain the heat in the winter, to enable use of your conservatory all year round (in comparison with basic clear glass).
The ‘Heatguard’ polycarbonate roof panels are made with a high-insulating polycarbonate and are available in a variety of thickness and colour, computer-tested for strength and durability. The Opel Heatguard (35mm) is our recommended option as anti-glare properties reduce the need for internal roof blinds, and with the Opel on the inside, light is reflected back into the conservatory at night.
Solid Roof Systems
LivinRoof, UltraRoof380 and realROOF are solid roof systems manufactured by Ultraframe. Designed to incorporate a lightweight tiled roof which can be either fully tiled or with the flexibility to combine both glass panels and a solid roof, these systems all offer excellent thermal efficiency and an internal vaulted plastered ceiling to your conservatory.
